Photography Workshops is one of the UK's most respected photography schools offering courses for complete beginners through to seasoned photographers in a variety of genres.
As if that wasn't enough, tutors Terry Hewlett and Andy Cubin have both gained their Associate Degrees within 2 weeks of each other; Terry, with the Royal Photographic Society and Andy, with the SWPP. The Associate degree is widely accepted as placing the owner of such a qualification in the top 5% of photographers in the country.
Terry Hewlett completed his Associate degree with a stunning panel of prints, captured at various fayres, air shows and events in the South West region including the Kemble Air show.
"I decided on an historical theme," said Terry "and whilst at the Kemble Air show, Andy and I found a number of great old aircraft, vehicles and owners in period costume - all willing to pose in exchange for a copy of the picture".
The Royal Photographic Society, founded in 1853, is the most prestigious international photographic society. It has long been recognised for the promotion and maintenance of high standards around the world
Andy Cubin, former RAF fast jet pilot and Terry's co-instructor, gained his Degree with the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. "I enjoy photographing people - beauty and fashion photography are my favourite genres", said Andy.
The Associate Degree shows a high standard of camera craft, technical excellence as well as expert lighting technique and faultless post-production. Panels are scrutinised by experts and every detail is examined - passing is not easy.
Not a pair for resting on their laurels, Terry and Andy are busy launching more photography workshops at their school. based in North Wiltshire.
